Signups will remain open until 20:59 BST Friday 3 September (countdown).
Bear in mind that if you do sign up on Friday 3 September, reveals are the day after: that's not a long time for someone to create a gift for you. ;)

What is AU Fest?
Basically: you sign up for the possibility (but not guarantee!) that you might receive a gift, without the obligation of writing one yourself. Hopefully, this generates more AU-themed works for all!
All requests must use the tags from the main AUex tagset. All fills for said requests must contain something the requester asked for (and not their DNWs as stated in the form).
Can I sign up if I don't sign up for the exchange?
Yes! You don't have to sign up for the exchange in order to make prompts for the fest. Likewise, you don't have to make prompts for the fest if you sign up for the exchange. Participating in one does not tie you to participating in the other!
Can I sign up for both the exchange and the fest?
By all means, feel free! The more the merrier.
Do I have to claim a prompt to make a prompt?
Nope! You don't have to claim prompts in order to make prompts. Likewise, feel free to claim prompts (or just fill them without claiming!) without making any yourself.
Does claiming oblige me to post something?
Not at all. Claiming doesn't oblige you to complete a work. You don't need to "default" if you decide not to create something after all, but if you want to remove a claim from your account you can go to My Dashboard > Claims > Drop Claim.
Do I have to claim a prompt in order to create something for it?
No, you don't - you can just post it if you prefer. If you do just post, please make sure you add it to the collection (so that it reveals at the same time as the other works!) and you've added the recipient in the "Gift this work to" field on the posting form.
Can multiple people can claim the same prompt?
Yes, go ahead!
Am I guaranteed a gift?
No, but you definitely won't get one if you don't sign up!
How do I sign up?
Go to the Prompt Form and follow the instructions!
What if my fandom/characters/ships/AUs aren't in the tagset?
Simple answer: nominate them! All tags must be in the tagset to be requested.

I won't be checking nominations as often after signups for the exchange close so feel free to comment here, email me at the address below, or DM me on Discord (if we share a server) and let me know there are nominations to approve - it's absolutely fine to do so.
Note that if your nominations do not follow the guidelines, they will be rejected.
How/where do I post my completed work?
You can post in the main AUex collection or the AU Fest collection.
- If you claimed a prompt and want to fill it: go to My Dashboard > Claims and press the "Fulfill" button. This will autofill the AU Fest collection in the "Post to Collections / Challenges" section.
- If you did not claim the prompt (you don't have to!): go to the collection page, press Post to Collection - this will autofill the name of whichever collection you chose in the "Post to Collections / Challenges" section.
If you want to add both collections: the collection names you need to make sure are pasted in are AUExchange2021 and AUFest2021.
Make sure you paste the recipient's AO3 name into the "Gift this work to" field - please take care to make sure it's exactly correct (and you're not giving a gift to someone random by mistake!).
Gifts will be revealed in both collections at the same time so technically it doesn't matter which you choose. However, AUex might have higher visibility if that matters to you.
