I didn't nominate either, but I think there's room to distinguish between Space AU and In Space. To me, Space AU sounds like a setting change AU where the characters have always been in space instead of in the canon setting, while In Space sounds like a canon divergent AU where the characters go to space after having initially been in the canon setting. If that makes sense.

I think that's a worthwhile distinction to make, but I don't think the tags really make it? My experiences aren't everyone's, obviously, but when I see people talk about IN SPAAAACE, it's usually what you define as a Space AU. If we want to distinguish the two, perhaps "characters go to space" or something?

That was also my thinking - there's a distinction between a setting change and the canon characters just going to space, but the tags didn't make that distinction. I've always seen IN SPAAAAACE used for setting change AUs, not characters who aren't normally in space in their canon going to space.

Happy to take suggestions on how to word a "characters go to space" AU tag that would work across fandoms, though, since there are so many space fandoms. Or if anyone wants a specific fandom "characters go to space" AU tag, let me know!

Is it possible to keep "All: Canonically male character(s) is/are always-a-girl" instead of "ALL: Always A Girl"? In spirit they mean the same thing, but I was trying to word the first to prevent it being accidentally interpreted as something like a shape shifting character always using a female form. Though if the spirit of the tag will be enforced, I'm fine with either.

I can add it back in if you feel particularly strongly about it, but I'd expect the accidental interpretation you're suggesting to only be an issue if you're requesting a shapeshifter character or prompting for a non-shapeshifter character to be a shapeshifter. Do you want it re-adding?

I'm not requesting a shapeshifter, but I am requesting a canon with a canonical shapeshifter who is a major character. I would appreciate it being re-added. I know I'm being overly cautious, but I wanted it to be as clear as possible to make it less likely for someone to fulfill it on a technicality but not in spirit.

Sorry I didn't mention this yesterday. Is there supposed to be an apostrophe in "Greek Myth: Persephone takes Hades' captive"?

I have absolutely no idea whether the nominator meant that or not, so I've erred on the side of keeping it. Though who this captive is, I do not know! ;)
