Hello! Basically: all tags used when signing up for the fest have to be in the associated tagset first, which is why you're getting an error message when you try to sign up with tags that aren't yet in the tagset.
The tagset is here. That's where you'll nominate tags.
You'll need to click "Nominate", then the form will give you the option to nominate up to 6 fandoms with up to 10 "Relationship" tags in each. The "Relationship" tag slot is actually being used for both relationships and solo characters - if you read the information in the post above, you'll see the format you should nominate each of these things in.
You can also nominate up to 20 AU tags - they're the "Additional Tag" tags at the bottom of the nomination page. Again, the format for that is above.
You don't need to fill all the slots, so just use the ones you need, and you can also edit them later (to amend tags if they're not approved yet, or to add things if you have spare slots; if tags have been approved, you can't edit them). If you go back to the tagset and click "My Nominations", then "Edit", that should allow you to edit.
Once you've nominated, I'll need to approve the tags before you can use them to sign up for the fest. Alas, I'm not online all the time, and I don't check the tagset as often now that signups for the exchange have closed - it's best to send me a quick message (here is fine, or email, or on Discord) and I'll approve properly formatted tags when I'm online again.
