Signups are open!

They will remain open until 20:59 BST on Sunday 12 July. View the countdown here.

Remember: there's a known bug that means not all nominated tags will appear in the dropdown! If you encounter this, copy and paste the tag straight from the tagset and it should work.


Instructions:

1. Fandom: Choose your fandom (1 per request/offer)


2. Characters: Choose your characters and/or relationships (1-10 per request; 1-20 per offer)


3. Relationships: Choose fanfiction, fanart, or both


4. Additional Tags: Choose your AUs! - must be "ALL" tags or match your fandom (2-20 per request)


5. Letter URL: Link to your Dear AUex Creator letter here (optional)


6. Optional Details: Add request information for your gift creator here (optional)


7. Optional Tags (offers only): Optionally, up to 20 additional AU tags - these must be copied and pasted from the tagset; do not use the tags that appear in the dropdown! If tags are chosen that do not appear in the tagset, they will not be used for matching and may be deleted when signups close

Repeating fandoms in requests and offers:

• You must request a minimum of three different fandoms and offer a minimum of four.


• You can request/offer the same fandom more than once to include different characters/groups/AUs, but you must still meet the minimum number of separate fandoms overall.


• e.g. a signup that requests only Harry Potter x3 would be invalid, but requesting Harry Potter x3 plus Star Wars Sequel Trilogy and Buffy the Vampire Slayer would meet the minimum required fandoms.

DNWs:

• If you have any Do Not Wants, please include them in your Optional Details.


• Only reasonable DNWs included in your signup can be enforced. (Please bear in mind that DNWs cannot be used to box your creator into producing a very specific work.)

AU Tags:

• The AU tags you request/offer must either match the fandom or start with "ALL:"


• e.g. if the fandom is Harry Potter, you could request/offer "HP: Character Sorted differently" and "ALL: Space Pirates AU" but not "SW: Ahsoka is a Nightsister".


• You can request/offer 2-20 AUs in the Additional Tags field.


• Optionally, you can offer up to an additional 20 AU tags in the Optional Tags field. Do not choose from the dropdown; these must be tags from the tagset.

- You can find the tagset here. Note that no further corrections will be made now that signups have opened, but I'm happy to add AU tags.

- The requests summary will be visible here once requests are made.

- Once there are sufficient signups, you can find the signup summary here.

(Oh my god, I just realized auto-correct got me on one of those - it should be Planet Vegeta, not Plant. Is there any way to change it? I'm so sorry, I suck. I'm just going to slink off and die of embarrassment now)

Additional Tags?

It looks like in the Offers we have to put in at least 2 Additional Tags? Are these part of matching? There are so many options to list out ^^;;

You do indeed need to put in at least 2 Additional Tags and yes, they're used in matching (as receiving a AU you asked for is the fundamental purpose of the exchange!).

There's no option to tick "any" for this because:

1) I'm still adding tags to the tagset if people ask, so you can't be sure that what's there now is what will be there when signups end

2) there are a lot of fandom-specific AU tags that could complicate matters

3) I don't believe anyone knows literally all of the fandoms that are in the AU tags as fusions, etc. - do you really want to match on a crossover with an out of print novel or a 17-season TV show you've never seen?

Sorry - you really do need to list some!
