Each participant may nominate up to 6 fandoms with 1-10 characters/relationships in each, plus 20 AUs as freeforms.

Do not nominate 'All Media Types' fandoms.
- Please be as specific as possible to avoid confusion.
- If your fandom's most fitting tag is an 'All Media Types' fandom, please comment here to discuss.

Character and Relationship Tags:

- Please nominate the movie franchises separately (e.g. Thor (Movies); Iron Man (Movies)); each of the shows should also be nominated separately. No The Avengers (Marvel Movies).
- Single characters should be nominated in their home franchise (e.g. Tony Stark in Iron Man (Movies); Jane Foster in Thor (Movies)).
- Single characters who only appear in the Avengers movies: use Marvel Cinematic Universe

Star Wars
- Star Wars should be split into Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, Star Wars Original Trilogy, Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), and then individual properties (e.g. Star Wars: Rebels, etc.). If in doubt, please ask!
- TCW: please nominate as "Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) - All Media Types" (please do not use All Media Types for anything else)
- In-universe SW crossovers (e.g. Mace Windu/Thrawn, not Mace Windu/Steve Rogers): I'm happy for you to nominate those under whichever SW canon you think fits best, or under Crossover Fandom.

X-Men Movies
- Please nominate both timelines under X-Men (Movieverse).
- Please specify timeline (Original Timeline or Alternate Timeline); add this in brackets, e.g. Scott Summers (OT); Scott Summers (AT); Group: Scott Summers (OT) & Scott Summers (AT).
- Please nominate the Wolverine-specific movies under Wolverine (Movies).
- Please nominate the Deadpool movies under Deadpool (Movieverse).


If you run out of freeform nomination slots, apologies - 20 is the max as determined by AO3. I just wanted to say thank you for the MCU nominating rules. ♥ I wasn't the one who asked for it, but individual fandoms + the umbrella fandom for crossovers between subfandoms works perfectly for me as an MCU fan!

Fingers crossed that it does not in fact go pear-shaped.

Can we please get a ruling as to what would be considered the home franchise of a few MCU characters? There are a few that first appeared in one franchise but got most of their character development and screen time in the ensemble films.

Nick Fury (Iron Man, I think)

Mod ruling is: Nat, Clint, Coulson and Fury can all go into Marvel Cinematic Universe rather than IM/Thor, since they appear mostly in the teamup movies. Hopefully that works!

I have a question about how to phrase a particular AU idea. I'd be interested in Star Wars stories where who was human vs. who was a droid is switched -- so, for example, Poe the astromech, Beebee the hotshot pilot, or Cassian Andor, tiny suspicious security droid, that sort of thing. In Homestuck, where there are trolls and humans, this would be called "species swap" but I'm not sure what to call it here.

If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.

I'm happy to go with "species swap" - if you were to request Poe & BB-8 with "ALL: Species swap", I'd get what you meant!

You could also go with "SW: Human-droid species swap" if you want to get fandom-specific.

Also, I nominated Bridget Jones Diary - AMT and I think it's fine. the book and the movie are so similar that all my requests will be relevant for both and I think anyone could offer that knew only the book or only the movie, there's v little difference between the two

Is there a ruling on Final Fantasy VII vs. the Compilation of FFVII? The Compilation is sort of an All Media Types situation, but there are characters who are in the Compilation but not in the original game.

Whoops, so, I nominated "Dreaming of Sunshine - Silver Queen" as a fandom but it was accepted as "Naruto", probably because someone else nominated Naruto and you approved that. It's also occurred to me that the only character tag I've nominated is definitely a Naruto canonical. So, two questions: can I get a fix for the Dreaming of Sunshine fandom so things can be nominated under it? And, once we can nominate things under it, should we disambiguate our tags (like, "Uzumaki Naruto (DoS)"?) to prevent them from wandering into the Naruto fandom/being confused?

\o/ Thank you! I haven't nominated anything but Nara Shikako yet because... I am a super slow nominator. There are several Naruto characters nominated for Naruto with the (Naruto) disambiguation that I think I'm going to nominate for Dreaming of Sunshine, so it seems like it might be clearer to have, like, "Hatake Kakashi (Naruto)" and "Hatake Kakashi (DoS)"? I think I'll be directly in contact with everyone who's going to nominate, so it'd be easy for me to tell them to nominate like that, if you think it's a good idea.

So, just to double check myself on MCU. If I intend to request a pairing like Loki/Thor but they are only nommed under Thor (Movies) and not MCU, will I break rules if I include canon AU prompts related to the Avengers movies? I get the ruling on splitting MCU into separate franchises. But the last thing I'd want to do is upset my assigned writer by requesting a pairing with prompts from the Avengers movies when they only expect to write AU based on Thor 1/2/Ragnarok.

If needed, I can double nominate pairings I want under MCU. But I didn't want to make things too confusing.

Question. I am interested in several crossovers, but I'm not sure how to nominate. What I see listed under crossover fandom seems to be primarily cross-fandom pairings. That's not really what I'm interested, what I want is to take characters from fandom A and have them interact with the fandom B world, if that makes sense. I see that freeforms, there are several fusions listed. By my understanding, a fusion is characters from fandom A replacing characters from fandom B, so that's not what I want, either. Is it acceptable to nominate "All: Fandom X crossover" under freeforms, so that X could be combined with other nominated fandoms? Or is there a better way?

You will absolutely not be breaking the rules if you request Avengers movie stuff under Thor (Movies), etc.

If it's part of an AU tag, offerers don't need to offer it (and all the AUs marked "MCU" are technically available to use across all MCU properties), and if it's in your optional details rather than the AU tag then that's optional anyway.

Basically: nominate the ships/characters under their "home" fandom and it should all be fine!

You could nominate "ALL: Fandom X crossover" if you prefer, or you could go with a more "FANDOM: X character in Y universe" if you have ideas for a specific character you want in a specific canon.

Does that answer the question? If not, I'm not entirely sure what exactly you're going for - could you give me a specific example?

This tag confuses me:

Arrowverse: The Worldkillers and/or Superwoman suit are symbiotes a la Venom

Superwoman is a completely different character in the comics and isn't in the Arrowverse. The only things I can think of they meant are Kara's Supergirl suit, her protective suit she gained in the fourth season or maybe the last Worldkiller in the comics that was a sentient suit of armor that tried to force Kara to wear it.

Okay! I've added Dreaming of Sunshine - Silver Queen back in (thanks for eating that, AO3), and manually added Nara Shikako into it. It doesn't look like any Naruto characters have migrated.

If you want to add any characters to Dreaming of Sunshine, the easiest way for this to go smoothly is probably to comment here with their names and I'll add them in manually.
